COTTON
Cotton is the most commonly grown non-food plant in the world. Though it provides income for more than 250 million people worldwide, the water-intensive nature of the crop, large-scale usage of pesticides and fertilizers, Genetic modifications, etc made it a complex environmental challenge.






THE SOLUTION?
RECYCLED COTTON
Nearly half of our production is made out of recycled cotton saving at least, 4 BILLION LITERS OF WATER / ANNUM Which in turn can produce 2.7 million kilograms of wheat (or) 2.4 million kilograms of corn to fight the World Hunger.
ENERGY
340 KW of Solar Power Generation through our State of the art Rooftop Solar panel installed – 340 thousand Kgs of Carbon to be saved from adding to the Environment per annum. 100 Number of LED lights that light up the whole unit – 11,000 KWh Annual Power saving through the installed LEDs. High Volume Low – Speed Fans (HVLS) instead of conventional fans – 5000 KWh Annual Power saving.
WATER
We understand that water is not something that can be completely substituted in the manufacturing in near future, but it can be consumed more responsibly. We have a 200-thousand-liter rainwater harvesting per year as clean potable water along with 6.6-million-liter groundwater addition. We have identified and implemented ways to reuse and recycle water and to minimize our water footprint. Bio-digesters instead of conventional Septic tanks, are installed as an eco- friendly solution &their output is used for gardening purposes. Clean, RO treated drinking water is available for all our workers at all times.






GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS &POLLUTION
We strive to reduce the Greenhouse gas footprint by dyeing &printing with suppliers who use renewable, carbon-neutral, biomass energy for their heating requirement, rather than the supplier who uses fossil fuel such as coal. We have used Portland Slag Cement for the entire construction of our factory which is otherwise called "Green Cement". We adhere to OEKO-TEX and REACH norms in terms of RSL and MRSL compliance. We understand the chemicals. The look, the feel, the hues, the uniqueness- much of what turns a piece of fabric into fashion comes from chemicals. So, we leverage its goodness and minimize its il effects by careful selection of vendors and processes (like salt less, low chemical pigment printing rather than conventional dyeing).
PEOPLE
Along with a well-organized training center and highly qualified trainers, we are providing Training and development programs, which are formulated to help employees acquire new skills, sharpen existing ones and evolve as professionals, enhanced performance and productivity, boost employee satisfaction, which in turn increases retention. We have earmarked 3% of our profits for learning and development for the current financial year. Temperature, humidity, space, illumination &sanitation are adequate for the safety and wellbeing of all our employees. Gender equality is maintained at all levels right from the top management as three of our five partners are female. Job rotation is motivated and relevant quality technical and vocational training is given wherever needed. We also have a skill development center. Al levels of worker's remuneration comply with local legal minimum wages rules.
MONEY
Strong financial performance is the key to sustainable growth. The more value we generate, the more we can distribute to our stakeholders, and the more we can invest in sustainable innovation. Only Home Textile company in Karur to work with immediate payment terms with all suppliers. In the past five years, we have consistently achieved more than 30% growth YOY. The wise use of money has been powering our growth today, as we move on to backward integrate our production from home textile manufacturing to weaving and spinning.





SUPPLY CHAIN ENGAGEMENT AND TRANSPARENCY
We meet our suppliers periodically to ensure transparency and clear communication in the supply chain. We make sure all our suppliers understand our sustainability policies and practices and our code of conduct. Continuous communication takes place with all our customers. We try to anticipate short and long term expectations of our customers. Our design team meets the customer representatives at regular interval throughout the year.
